Who are We?
The DeLTA (Data Analytics for Intelligent and Autonomous Systems) Research Group is a multidisciplinary team within the Artificial Intelligence, Virtual Communications, and Networks (AVCN) Research Institute at the University of the West of Scotland. For the past 10 years AVCN developed a strong track record in areas such as Artificial Intelligence (AI), Extended Realities, 5G+ Networks, Big Data, Deep Learning, IoT, Blockchain, Autonomous Systems and Cyber Security, winning prestigious awards, generating research impact and IP, and securing significant grants from national and international funding agencies and industries.

DeLTA aims to advance data analytics capabilities to tackle global challenges at individual, national, and international levels across diverse sectors, including education, finance, healthcare, and business. Recognizing the growing demand for technological advancements in data analytics, DeLTA focuses on innovating how data is collected, processed, analyzed, and shared with stakeholders. With the recent surge in the application of machine learning and artificial intelligence to various forms of data, the need to address challenges in end-to-end data analytics has become increasingly critical for developing intelligent and autonomous systems. DeLTA approaches these challenges through the principles of fairness, ethics, and auditability, aiming to derive value from data and create meaningful opportunities for data owners and stakeholders.

The International Conference on Software, Knowledge, Information Management and Applications (SKIMA 2025) is going to be held 9-11 June, 2025 in Paisley, Scotland, UK. The conference aims to bring together researchers and experts in Knowledge Management, Software Engineering, and Information Systems to share their ideas, experiences, and insights. We welcome researchers and practitioners from academia, industries, research institutions, R&D enterprise services and governmental organisations to exchange innovative contributions around the conference topics.
